Second Genesis provides residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services to men, women, women with children of up to 10 years of age, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. We operate four residential and outpatient treatment centers in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.All of our treatment programs are licensed in the states of Maryland, Virginia and the city of Washington, DC. |

Second Genesis is the oldest provider of therapeutic community services in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. area. Founded, and continuously licensed since 1969 in Alexandria, Virginia, Second Genesis now operates other residential therapeutic communities in Washington, DC and Anne Arundel, Montgomery, and Prince George's Counties in Maryland. |

| Unlike our other residential programs that treat both men and women, this program is exclusively for women and their children. Women receive substance abuse treatment while living at the facility with their young children. Along with addiction treatment, anger management training, relapse prevention, group therapy and gender specific services, the women receive additional help in parenting skills and in finding gainful employment. |
Located in Crownsville, Maryland, operating as part of the Anne Arundel Facility, this unique program is a modified therapeutic community specially designed for individuals who require treatment for both substance abuse and mental health disorders. Clients at the Second Genesis co-occurring disorders program live in a safe environment while receiving integrated treatment. |
