Crownsville Facility
Philosophy
The philosophy of Crownsville is to unify into a family, individuals that are learning to move towards a positive life of hope and constructive change.
History
In 1988, we established Crownsville, Anne Arundel Facility, a traditional therapeutic community with 128 male beds and 20 female beds.
Clients
Our clients are men and women (no adolescents) who suffer from substance abuse issues. Many of our clients come from the justice system as an alternative to incarceration.
Staff
Our staff are licensed and/or certified clinicians specializing in treating clients with substance abuse issues.
Program and Activities
In addition to individual and skill-based group therapy, clients participate in addiction treatment, anger management training, relapse prevention, group therapy, as well as vocational and educational services. Some recent activities include beach days at Sandy Point, group field trips, holiday parties, as well as monthly sports days. Partnerships with judges and military personnel allow the clients to educate the public about the hope of recovery.
