Run for Recovery, Run for the Children – is a project of Faces & Voices of Recovery and the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA) and this year, we are excited to also be partnering with the D.C. Recovery Community Alliance, Washington DC’s recovery community organization and Second Genesis drug and alcohol rehabilitation program with residential treatment centers in Maryland and Washington, DC.
Together we work to promote effective public policy, broaden public understanding of the effects of addiction on children and families, empower individuals and families with the tools to break the cycle of addiction and demonstrate the reality of recovery.
For the second year Run for Recovery, Run for the Children team will be participating in the Marine Corps Marathon and 10K race. We hope our presence at this event will help bring awareness to our cause. Each team member also raises money to help us continue to our advocacy, education, professional training, and support programs so children and families adversely impacted by addiction can find hope for their future.
Red Hot and Blue is helping to support our team by hosting Run for Recovery, Run for the Children “Spirit Days” at several locations in the metro area.
Red Hot and Blue (Gaithersburg location) will donate 20% of your dine in purchases back to Run for Recovery, Run for the Children. All other locations listed will donate 15% of your dine in purchases back to Run for Recovery, Run for the Children. It’s as simple as handing the server the coupon at the bottom of this flyer or mentioning our spirit days when you order your delicious meal.
Bring your family and friends to one of the following locations for lunch or dinner on “spirit days” and help support our cause. Red Hot and Blue is open for serving on Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
