Inmate Assessment Counselor

Administers, scores and interprets the Texas Christian University Drug Screen II, Criminal Sentiment Scale, and the Addiction Severity Index to inmates housed in a correctional setting.

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. The ideal candidate has a (CAC) Certified Addiction Counselor and previous experience treating chemically dependent/mentally challenged clients. Must be willing to travel between Jessup and Hagerstown, Maryland.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

If working in Maryland, must be approved, licensed or certified as an alcohol and drug counselor by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists; approved by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists; or licensed, certified, or permitted under the Health Occupations Article, Annotated Code of Maryland to provide substance abuse treatment within 90 days of employment.
