Admissions Overview

The mission of Second Genesis is to empower individuals and families to make choices that will enable them to experience a healthy, responsible life free from alcohol, drugs, crime, violence and exploitation.

Second Genesis is a nonprofit drug and alcohol rehabilitation program with residential treatment centers in Maryland and Washington, DC. Since 1969, the program has successfully treated thousands of men and women, including pregnant women, women with their children, and adolescents with their families. Based on a modified therapeutic community model Second Genesis programs are designed to empower individuals to lead healthy, responsible lives free from alcohol and other drugs. Treatment is holistic incorporating individual and group therapy, vocational services, educational services, social skill building, relapse prevention, and other life skills essential to recovery.
